The Maryland Forest Service, in partnership with the Maryland Forest Conservancy District Boards, sponsored a "Poster Contest" for 5th grade classes throughout the State of Maryland. The topics to choose from were:
- Trees Are Terrific...And Energy Wise
- Trees Are Terrific...And Clean Air and Water
- Trees Are Terrific...And Make Communities Healthy
